IRAN HANGS MAN FOR RAPE

Iran hanged a rapist in the central city of Arak, the semi-official Fars news agency reported. The man, only identified as a 45 year old with the initials M.M., had been convicted of rape, armed robbery and forgery, the report said. It added that he was sent to the gallows in Arak's central prison.
