IRAN HANGS MAN IN PUBLIC FOR MURDER

Iran publicly hanged a man convicted of killing his girlfriend in the southern city of Shiraz, the government newspaper reported. The man, identified as Hamed, shot the 16 year old Razieh several times and then stabbed her 25 times. He told the court that his motive was to make sure that she would not marry another man.
