IRAN HANGS TWO FOR OFFICIAL'S MURDER

Iran hanged two men convicted of murdering a government official in the northern province of Gilan, the official IRNA news agency reported. The pair, identified as Parviz K and Afrasiab N, were executed in the Lakan prison in the provincial capital of Rasht.
The victim identified only as Mr Peyravi, was head of the local natural resources organization.
He was abducted on his way to work one day in 2005 and killed in the Masal forests.
