Iranian authorities executed prisoner Hassan Moharrer on 7 May for drug-related offences in Orumiyeh Central Prison, West Azerbaijan Province, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
The prisoner was transferred to solitary confinement for execution on 6 May.
Moharrer, from the village of Lerni in the Tirgavar region of Orumiyeh, had been sentenced to death for drug trafficking around five years ago.
At the same time, several other prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement in Orumiyeh Central Prison for execution, although their identities have not yet been revealed.
