Iran's Official Coronavirus Death Toll Nearing 4,000. With 133 more fatalities, Iran's official coronavirus death toll rose to 3,872 on Tuesday. According to Iran's Health Ministry, 2,089 more COVID-19 patients were identified in the past 24 hours, pushing the number of infected individuals to 62, 588. According to Dr. Kianush Jahanpur, the Spokesman of Iran's Health Ministry, a total of 27,039 patients have recovered from COVID-19 so far. The Ministry of Health says that it only provides figures based on the number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19, after three tests at various intervals.
