December 27, 2025 - IRAN. Jalil Nouri and Reza Hatami executed in Sari on December 27
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, two men were hanged in Sari Central Prison on 27 December 2025. Their identities have been established as Jalil Nouri, a 49-year-old man from Sarakhs and 30-year-old Reza Hatami from Sari. They were sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
A source told IHR: “Jalil Nouri had three children and worked as a taxi driver. He was arrested for carrying 18 kilograms of drugs five kilometres from Sari. Reza was arrested three years ago.”
At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
