IRAN: KURDISH POLITICAL PRISONER HABIBOLLAH LATIFI AWAITING EXECUTION

activists stated that the execution of Kurdish political prisoner, Habibollah Latifi, was upheld by Iran's Supreme Court and is awaiting implementation. Latifi's family members, who were arrested as his execution became imminent, were released but barred from speaking to the media. Latifi was arrested in 2007 and sentenced to death for his alleged involvement in several bombings in Kurdistan.
