According to information received by Hengaw, at dawn on July 31, 2025, the death sentences of female prisoner Mahtab Bayati and male prisoner Ali Ashraf Khani were carried out in Mashhad Central Prison, also known as Vakilabad.
The two had been arrested on charges linked to “drug offenses”.
The executions had not been reported by state media.
