According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Sari Central Prison on 12 March. His identity has been established as Majid Vahidi, a 26-year-old motorcycle and bicycle mechanic who was sentenced for murder. A source told IHR: “Majid Vahidi was arrested in July 2021 for allegedly killing his friend during an argument that turned physical.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
