Identified only as A.M.
According to the state media ‘Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB)’, a man was executed in Khoy Prison in Western Azerbaijan province on 24 October. The man, only identified as A.M., was sentenced for murder. He had allegedly committed murder with a firearm.
Naser Atbati, the Prosecutor of Western Azerbaijan province said: “The convict had committed murder in 2014 and the sentence was carried out following the plaintiff’s request for qisas.”
