April 16, 2026 - IRAN. Manouchehr Vafaei and Navid Naghdi at Imminent Risk of Execution
Two political prisoners sentenced to death in a joint case on charges of murdering two members of the Salman Basij base (affiliated with the Sarallah IRGC in Shiraz) are at grave risk of execution in the coming days. Their identities have been established as Manouchehr Vafaei, 28, and Navid Naghdi, 32, both detained in Shiraz Central Prison.
Navid Naghdi’s brother was also a political prisoner executed in 1992.
