Mehdi Piri executed in Zabol on August 20
At dawn today, Saturday, August 20, 2022, a Baloch prisoner named Mehdi Piri was executed in Zabol prison on drug charges. Along with Mehdi Piri, two other prisoners named Amin Piri and Qasim Sencholi were transferred to solitary confinement on the charge of murder, but they were returned to prison after obtaining the consent and a deadline from the victim’s family.
Mehdi Piri, son of Alijan from Piri village, was arrested in 2019 on drug charges and sentenced to death by Judge Babaei in Zabol Revolution Court.
