July 9, 2024 - IRAN. Mohammad Ghorbani executed in Qazvin on July 9.
According to information obtained by IHR on August 8, a man was executed in Qazvin Central Prison on 9 July. His identity has been established as Mohammad Ghorbani who was on death row for murder.
An informed source told IHR: “Mohammad Ghorbani was arrested for murder three years ago. His family weren’t informed of his execution, they found out through another prison after it took place.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
