(August 20, 2023) - Mousa Afkhami executed in Sari on August 20
According to information obtained by IHR, a man was executed in Sari Central Prison on 20 August. His identity has been established as 48-year-old Mousa Afkhami who was sentenced for murder.
Informed sources told IHR that Mousa was arrested four years ago and sentenced to death. He was from Lahijan and had two children.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
