According to a report received by Hengaw, on the morning of Wednesday, July 24, 2024, the death sentence of Matiullah Barakzai, a 40-year-old Afghan citizen residing in Zahedan, was carried out in Qaen Central Prison without his knowledge or a final meeting with his family.
According to informed sources, this citizen was arrested five years ago for drug-related charges at the Qaen checkpoint.
To date, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in the Iranian state media.
