IRAN: PAIR HANGED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

Authorities in Iran hanged two people convicted of drug trafficking in the northern city of Qazvin, the government newspaper Iran reported.
A woman, only identified by her first name Azita, 30, and a man, Mohammad, were hanged for smuggling three kilograms of crack cocaine, the report said.
The pair had been arrested with the drugs while travelling to the northern city of Rasht in May 2007.
