His identity has been established as 40-year-old Jafar Hassani, from Fuman, North Iran. Informed sources familiar with Jaffar Hassani’s case told IHR: "He had been in prison since 2017 and he was on death row for an honour killing."
At the time of publication, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by the domestic media or officials in Iran.
