July 22, 2025 - IRAN. Reza Afrayi Mardakheh executed in Rasht on July 22
According to information IHR obtained on August 1, a man was hanged in Rasht (Lakan) Central Prison on 22 July 2025. His identity has been established as Reza Afrayi Mardakheh, a 40-year-old a Gilak man, father of two and farmer from Anzali who lived in Rasht.
He was arrested for an honour killing four years ago.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
