According to a report received by Hengaw, on April 7, 2025, the death sentence of Seyed Taha Hosseini, a 23-year-old Kurdish prisoner from Bukan, was carried out at the central prison in the city. He had committed a murder at the age of 18.
It is noteworthy that five years ago, he was arrested for charges of murder of a man identified as Yaghoub Noureh and was subsequently sentenced to death by Iran’s judiciary.
According to informed sources, the victim, who was affiliated with Salafi groups and owned a pastry shop, had sexually assaulted and recorded videos of his apprentices in his store. Taha Hosseini was said to be one of his victims. Yaghoub Noureh had also served a two-year prison sentence in Urmia Central Prison for collaboration with ISIS.
An informed source told Hengaw: “The Hosseini family was unable to afford legal representation for their son due to financial hardship.”
To date, the news of this execution has not been reported by state media.
