At dawn on November 7, 2025, the execution of a Kurdish man was carried out in Urmia Prison.

According to reports received by HRANA, the identity of the man has been confirmed as Shams al-Din Abbasi Kay, aged 52, a father of two, a resident of Kai village in the Silvaneh district of Urmia. He had been arrested about two years ago on drug-related charges.

As of the time of this report, the execution has not been officially announced by authorities.
