According to a report received on December 1 by Hengaw, at dawn on November 20, 2024, Sirus Jafari, a 45-year-old Kurdish man resident of Kermanshah, was executed in Lakan Prison in Rasht. The prisoner had been arrested on drug-related charges.
Hengaw had earlier reported the execution of another prisoner on the same day, identified as Shirali Tarkeshband. He, too, had been arrested and sentenced to death on drug-related charges. As of the time of this report, news of these executions has not been announced by state-affiliated media.
