According to information received by Hengaw on May 2, Soraya Mohammadi was executed in the early morning of April 24, 2024, at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. She had been imprisoned at Qarchak Varamin prison for two years on charges of murder before being transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj for execution.
A source close to the prisoner's family revealed that Soraya Mohammadi had been convicted of murdering her sister-in-law's landlord two years prior, allegedly motivated by theft, and had been incarcerated since then.
