according to a statement by the UN Office of the High Commissioner of Human Rights, four United Nations experts condemned the public execution of 17-year-old Alireza Molla Soltani in Iran.
The four UN experts are: Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, Christof Heyns; Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ahmed Shaheed; Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers, Gabriela Knaul; Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, Juan Méndez.
