IRAN - Unidentified man executed in Shiraz on February 2

According to HRANA, at dawn on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, a prisoner sentenced to death for murder was executed in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz. This prisoner, about 36, has been in detention for nearly 5 years. He was sentenced to death for murder. According to this report, the execution of this prisoner was due to his inability to pay blood money to the parents of the victim. The name and details of this prisoner have not been obtained.
