Unnamed man executed in Yasuj Central Prison on December 30.
According to state-run ISNA, a man was executed in Yasuj Central Prison on the morning of 30 December 2021. The man who has not been named was sentenced to death for rape. Seyed Ali Malek-Hosseini, the Yasuj Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor, said: “Last year, a complaint was lodged at the provincial Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office about the rape of a woman. After identifying the suspect and carrying out the legal and judicial proceedings, the verdict was issued in the quickest time possible and the defendant was sentenced to death”.
