Valijan Rahmi executed in Qom Central Prison on January 17.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was executed in Qom Central Prison on the morning of January 17. His identity has been established as 56-year-old Valijan Rahmi who was held in Ward 3 of the prison prior to his execution. An informed source told Iran Human Rights: “Valijan Rahmi was from Shabestar and was arrested for drug offences around seven years ago and sentenced to death.” At the time of writing, Valijan’s execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
