IRAN: WOMAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDER

a young woman was sentenced to death by Judge Mohammad Soltan Hemmatyar of the Criminal Court in Iran for murdering her sister-in-law's daughter on December 25, 2009. According to Fars News, the child's aunt confessed to killing Sanaz as revenge on her husband's family who had humiliated her. She allegedly suffocated the child and set her body on fire.
