IRAN: YOUNG PRISONER EXECUTED IN MASHHAD FOR HARASSING WOMAN

A young prisoner, who was charged with the harassment of a woman and then sentenced to death, was reportedly executed at Mashhad's Vakilabad Prison in the early morning. The execution was published in a report by an official Iranian source, Khorasan News.
According to the report, the young man colluded through the use of force and threats to try to coerce a "divorced woman" to marry him. An alleged accomplice was reportedly sentenced to three and a half years in prison.
The report states that the unnamed prisoner was 19 years old and charged with the crime on March 25, 2014, but does not indicate whether the prisoner was 19 at the time the charge was issued or he was hanged to death.
