According to Justice Ministry's sources, the convicts were Iraqis who were sentenced to death for terrorist actions, kidnapping and killing operations.
This is the third execution for terrorism charges in the prison during the past period (four convicted terrorists were executed on 3 July and five more on 13 July 2014).
At least 64 executions were carried out in Iraq in 2014, most of them related to acts of terrorism.
