IRAQ: ANOTHER SWEDISH CITIZEN SENTENCED TO DEATH
Another Swedish citizen has been sentenced to death in Iraq by a court decision, Report News Agency informed on July 2, 2024 referring to the Dagens Nyheter newspaper citing the press service of the Swedish Foreign Ministry.

Another Swedish citizen has been sentenced to death in Iraq by a court decision, Report News Agency informed on July 2, 2024 referring to the Dagens Nyheter newspaper citing the press service of the Swedish Foreign Ministry.
"The Swedish Embassy in Baghdad, which has now moved to Stockholm, has received confirmation from local authorities that a second Swedish national has been sentenced to death by an Iraqi court of first instance," reads the statement.
The verdict to the first subject became known in June.
