Two militants detained in Iraq by security forces on charges of carrying out twin bombings in the city of Kut last year were sentenced to death by Wassit criminal court.
A third person was sentenced to life imprisonment for harboring the perpetrators.
Over 100 people, among them 12 children, were either killed or injured by the twin bombings in Kut’s Abbasiyah area in August last year.
