"The arrested man was condemned to death over his involvement in armed activities against the security forces and other murders and plundering against civilians," the source, who requested anonymity, told Aswat al-Iraq. The arrest, the source added, came during a raid on a house where the man was hiding in central Kut city thanks to intelligence tips. Wassit is a Shiite province in the east of the country.
