IRAQ. MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR KIDNAPPING

the Baghdad Central Criminal Court issued a death sentence against a man convicted of kidnapping, the state- funded Al Sabah newspaper reported. The paper cited a source at the Supreme Judicial Council as saying one Iraqi was sentenced to death after being convicted in the kidnapping of a civilian in the Al Azamiya District of Baghdad.
