Iraqi Communist Party newspaper Tariq al-Sha'b said that "the despotic ruling clique executed 25 citizens, from various areas in Iraq, at Abu Ghurayb prison [south of Baghdad]. An eye witness said that the bodies were disfigured because of the large number of bullets fired on them. One of the people executed was from Kirkuk and another from Tuzkhurmatu, but their bodies have not been given to the families."
