Iraqi Displacement and Migration Minister, Pascale Icho Warda, the only Christian minister in the new Iraqi cabinet, said she was in favour of the death penalty for former president Saddam Hussein . Interviewed by the French daily Le Parisien, Warda said the new government had readopted the death penalty. "Without trying to influence the judge I support such a sentence for him," she said. "For all he had done, Saddam does not deserve to live," the minister added.
