It was reported that Mahmud Kazeminia, convicted of killing a man of 17 with the intention of stealing his motorcycle, was brought down from the gallows after he confessed to another murder before his sentence of hanging was carried out in Dezful, Iran. At the foot of the gallows, when asked to express his last testament, Kazeminia confessed to killing Rahman Nowruzimanesh, a 52-year-old taxi driver, with the help of an accomplice in 2003. Following the confession, the Dezful Justice Department's public relations office announced that the execution would be postponed in order to shed light on the newly-discovered murder.
