Italian photographer Oliviero Toscani creator of Benetton's controversial "We, on death row" campaign in 2000, slammed his country for its weak commitment against the death penalty.
"I've asked for Norwegian citizenship, my wife's, because Italy does not work hard enough against the death penalty," Toscani said during an interview on Capital Radio.
"Justice is one thing, murder is another. No one is as bad an assassin as the state that kills in cold blood, thinking it is meting out justice," he said.
