Jamaica was a cosponsor of the amendments presented by Egypt (A/C.3/54/L.31 and L.32) and others (L.35, L.38, L.39, L.40, L.41, L.47) to the resolution presented by the European Union for a moratorium on executions at the 54th UN General Assembly (A/C.3/54/L.8/Rev.1).
