a 59 year old man was sentenced to death at the Osaka District Court in Japan for robbing and killing a female Chinese student and a male company employee with a knife on separate occasions in Osaka. According to the ruling, on July 29, 2000, Ryoji Kagayama, a part-time worker, robbed Han Ying, 24, of her bag on a street in Chuo Ward and then stabbed her to death when she caught up with him after chasing him. Kagayama also stabbed Akira Morinaga, 30, in the chest on February 1, 2008, in a restroom of the Kitano Hankyu Building in Kita Ward.
