in Japan, Presiding Judge Hiroyoshi Suzuki of the Kumamoto District Court sentenced Kumamoto resident Kenichi Tajiri, 40, to death for killing two women and stealing money in separate incidents in Kumamoto Prefecture. Tajiri allegedly murdered Chizuko Nakatsu, 49, in Uto in March 2004 and Yoshiko Migita, 65, in Kumamoto in February 2011.
