Jasem Ebrahimi, 17, was executed by hanging in Gonaveh, in southern Iran, after his death sentence was confirmed by the supreme court. Ebrahimi had been convicted of raping an 18-month old child, an offence which carries a death sentence under Iran's Islamic laws.
