Juan Raul Garza was executed by lethal injection at the federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, eight days after the execution of convicted Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. Garza was pronounced dead at 7:09 a.m. local time (8:09 a.m. EDT). Garza, 44, a confessed drug trafficker, was sentenced to death in August, 1993 in Texas for murdering or ordering the murders of three other drug traffickers.
