The execution happened at square in Gedweyne area near Doolow, a town located in the southern Gedo region of Somalia.
The incident came after heavily armed Al-Shabaab gunmen launched a deadly attack on an army base in Tulo-Barwaqo area in the region that left several soldiers dead including senior officials.
