Justice Minister Hikmet Sami Turk, said "capital punishment in Turkey would be evaluated within the scope of new penal code. European countries were not executing capital punishment any longer. Turkey was the only country which had not signed the annexed protocol number 6 although she is a member of the Council of Europe. But we should take into consideration special conditions in Turkey."
