KAZAKHSTAN WILL APPLY DEATH SENTENCE FOR TERRORISM

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed into law amendments and addenda to legislation harmonising individual legal acts on the application of the death sentence with the constitution.
The presidential press service reported that the death penalty will now be applied only for terrorist crimes involving the death of people and also for felonies committed in times of war. A person sentenced to death shall have the right to seek a pardon.
