Shakarullah Ansari, a native of Uttar Pradesh, India, was hanged till death at 8:15 am Kuwait time on charges of murdering his employer.
Ansari, who reached Kuwait in 2001, had previously complained about harassment by his employer to the Indian embassy there.
"He is said to have shot his employer in 2003," Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi said.
"All his appeals had been rejected and the execution took place on Tuesday morning," the Minister added. Officials in the ministry said there had not been any requests from the family to bring the body back to India.
