A Kuwaiti court on 29 October 2019 sentenced an Egyptian man to death after he was convicted of stabbing his Lebanese wife to death in front of their children.
The defendant, identified as Haytham, told court during sessions over the past two years that he argued with his wife after seeing two men near his apartment while their three children were at the neighboring flat.
He said his wife refused to swear that the men were not with her and that she rushed to the kitchen and brought a knife, with which she threatened him.
Newspapers said the defendant told court that he pushed her then smashed a vase on her head before stabbing her 7 times before the eyes of his screaming kids.
The papers said the judge on 29 October found the defendant guilty of pre-meditated murder and sentenced him to death by hanging.
