The Court of Appeal on June 30, 2024 rendered a verdict to execute a Kuwaiti citizen convicted of murdering his wife and dismembering her body after she revealed she was pregnant by him.
The gruesome crime unfolded as the accused distributed the victim’s remains across various regions in Kuwait.
During the trial, the victim’s heirs’ legal team advocated for the harshest punishment possible, which in this case is death.
They presented evidence confirming the accused’s commission of the crime and urged the court to add charges related to possession of a murder weapon, specifically a cleaver and a knife procured by the accused for the crime.
The details of the crime were chilling: the accused first extracted the six-month-old fetus from the victim’s abdomen before dismembering her body at the joints and disposing of the parts in different locations.
