KYRGYZ COURT SENTENCES MAN TO DEATH FOR MURDER

Andrey Zemerov, who was accused of committing two murders, was sentenced to death in the Lenin district court in Bishkek according to the Delo No newspaper.

Andrey Zemerov, who was accused of committing two murders, was sentenced to death in the Lenin district court in Bishkek according to the Delo No newspaper. Zemerov was accused of murdering the 32-year-old Ayrek advertising agency director Svyatoslav Oshchepkov in the summer of 2005, and 25-year-old Rinat Mordinov. The sentence was given despite Kyrgyzstan’s indefinite moratorium on the death penalty.
