a Lao court sentenced to death two Taiwanese men for drug trafficking. The Vientiane Criminal Court awarded capital punishment to Woo Jaoxieng, 40, and Seun Siouyuan, 32, both of whom were arrested in 2004 at the Wattay International Airport in Vientiane and charged with trying to smuggle heroin out of Laos. The two reportedly arrived in Laos in November 2004 and ordered some heroin from an unidentified Lao man who was still on the run. The man allegedly handed them two packets of heroin weighing 0.8 kg. The two packets were split into four and hidden around the waist and in the underwear and socks of Seun Siouyuan. They were spotted when local police checked the two men at the airport.
